We believe our Christian faith is to be enjoyed, so we also have regular social events happening that bring us together for men's breakfasts, ladies get togethers, social evenings and trips. You can find details for all of these on our Calendar page.
What kind of church are we?
Gathering Community Church is a mixed group of people of all ages - some who have been Christians for many years, some have become Christians a lot more recently and some are just looking at what it means to be a Christian.
We are a church who welcomes everyone, and if you come along, we will do all we can to make your visit an enjoyable one.
You will find the atmosphere relaxed and friendly when you arrive. We enjoy refreshments before and during the service which starts with a time of singing as we celebrate and acknowledge God's love, goodness and being part of His family. During the service there is time to pray for local and national situations, and where people would like us to pray for their individual situation - we are happy to do this.
There is a time of Bible teaching where we learn what it means to be a Christian and, just like anything else in life that we want to improve and excel in, we learn how to grow and develop as a member of God's family.

Lastly, we often celebrate Holy Communion - a time to reflect and remember that Jesus died in our place to deal with our sin and imperfections.
While we are serious about our Christian faith, we try not to take ourselves too seriously, so there is often a lot of laughter throughout our time together.
